Since his admission to the Bar in 1998, Mr. Femano has focused his practice in the area of Creditors’ Rights in the State of New York. Mr. Femano has represented lenders in all aspects of contested and non-contested foreclosure actions, successfully litigating claims alleging violations of the New York Real Property Law, New York RPAPL, New York General Business Law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act and RESPA. Mr. Femano is adept in handling complex loss mitigation issues and other servicing related claims, bankruptcy motion practice and related real estate litigation. Mr. Femano has specialized experience conducting cooperative apartment security-interest enforcement actions pursuant to the Uniform Commercial Code, and has represented lenders in numerous complex REO and third party closings.
